Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon
Mariah Carey welcomed her twin babies, a girl and a boy Saturday at 12:07 p.m. EDT at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles, her representative, Cindi Berger, confirmed to The Associated Press.
The girl was born first, she weighted 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and she was 18 inches long. The boy came the second at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches.
“It was like right out of an ‘I Love Lucy’ skit”, the representative said about the moment Nick Cannon brought the singer to the hospital.
Cannon and Carey married in 2007 and they plan to live in two luxurious nurseries in both New York and Los Angeles.
