Little girl welcomes baby. According to Latina.com, a 10-year-old girl, whose name is being withheld due to privacy concerns, has become one of the  youngest person to deliver a baby.  The child was 5-pound, 5-ounce baby and was born via caesarean section.

More than that, the girl didn’t even knew she was pregnant when she arrived at the hospital bleeding and experiencing contractions. The case has amazed everyone.

According to Fox News, the very young mother is part of the Wayuu tribe in Manaure, Northern Colombia, a town in the Colombian Department of La Guajira, which is comprised of various indigenous tribes.

But despite being wild people, authorities would like for this situations to end. “We hope there aren’t anymore”, Dr. Fabio Gonzalez the gynecologist who treated her told Univision’s Primer Impacto. The doctor added that it’s the third time when he sees something like that.
Dr. Kimberly Gecsi explained to ABC News that C-secitons are, unfortunately, not unusual at this age.  “The baby’s head needs to come through a bony outlet. But in a young girl, the pelvis may not be ready or big enough to deliver a baby. These girls are not ready to be pregnant. Their bodies are not mature. They may be able to get pregnant, but being able to have a baby is a whole other situation. It is unclear how the young girl got pregnant or who the father is, but police are investigating the case”, he explained.
