J.R. Martinez explained his one-day-old daughter’s name this week. The ‘Dancing With the Stars’ season 13 champ opened about little Lauryn Anabelle’s name.

According to Martinez, the little girl was named  after two very special people. “Her first name, Lauryn, is after Diana’s younger sister who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year. And her middle name, Anabelle, is after my sister who passed away when she was 6″, the 28-year-old star confessed.

The two decided to give their daughter spellings of their sisters’ names so that “she will have her own identity”. Martinez and his girlfriend  Diana Gonzalez-Jones refer to Lauryn Anabelle as “our little lamb”. But her real nickname is Belle. “It’s wonderful to call her by her name, finally”, he said.

The couple’s first child arrived on Wednesday, May 2nd at a hospital in Los Angeles.

“She has a full head of hair! One of the first things I’m going to have to do is learn how to do her hair because she’s got a lot of it!” Martinez also said about his daughter.
