January Jones with son Xander
January Jones has weird tastes: she eats her placenta. The ‘Mad Men’ actress confessed that she wanted to make sure she was eating well so she took vitamins, teas and placenta capsulation.
“Your placenta gets dehydrated and made into vitamins. It’s something I was very hesitant about, but we’re the only mammals who don’t ingest our own placentas. It’s not witch-crafty or anything! I suggest it to all moms!” the mother of 5-month-old son Xander said.
The 34-year-old actress added that she was able to go back to work just six or seven weeks after giving birth. “I had the baby and the baby nurse in their own room so I could go back and feed him every two hours. If I felt like he needed me, or if he needed to eat, or even if I just needed a squeeze because I was having separation issues, I would go back and see him. It was such a blessing that I wasn’t separated from him”, she said.
Jones gave birth to a son, Xander Dane Jones, on September 13, 2011. So far, the actress has not revealed the father’s identity.
In the past Jones dated singer-songwriter Josh Groban from 2003 until 2006 and Jason Sudeikis in 2010. The two split before the actress announced her pregnancy. Rumor had it Sudeikis is Jones’ baby daddy. Jones nor Sudeikis confirmed the rumor. Ashton Kutcher, James Marsden, Joel Edgerton and Michael Fassbender were also rumored to be Xander’s biological father. Just as in Jason Sudeikis’ case, those rumors were never confirmed.
January Jones also starred in ‘Anger Management’, ‘American Wedding’, ‘Love Actually’, ‘Love’s Enduring Promise’, ‘Law & Order’ and last years’ ‘X-Men: First Class’. The blonde actress started playing Betty Draper Francis in ‘Mad Men’ back in 2007 until now.
