Holly Deveaux cast as Casey Anthony

Holly Deveaux is playing Casey Anthony‘s role in a TV movie. The 19-year-old little-known teenage Canadian actress will take the role of the most controversial women in America.

But is she ready for the role? And for all the attention it will bring. “Definitely not. It’s nerve-wracking to combat such a controversial issue as well, the outpouring of negativity for Casey Anthony is unlike anything we’ve seen in the media in years”, she told ET Canada.

Deveaux is aware that she’s facing a tough role. “I’m not going to make her into anything she is not. The fact of it, beyond any verdicts in court, is that she was someone struggling through what was undoubtedly the most difficult trial of a lifetime”, she said.

Holly Deveaux will co-star Rob Lowe, who will play prosecutor Jeff Ashton in the Lifetime movie, based on Ashton’s memoir.

26-year-old Casey Anthony was charged with and later acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee in 2008.
