Chris Hemsworth welcomes daughter India Rose

Chris Hemsworth has become a father for the first time. The Avengers actor and his wife Elsa Pataky welcomed a baby girl in London Friday, May 11. The baby girl was named India Rose.

“Having the person that you love by your side, and starting a family with them, is the best thing that can happen to you in this life. You can’t ask for more”, 35-year-old Pataky told ¡Hola!  a while ago.

28-year-old Hemsworth met his Spanish wife in 2010 and they were married in December of that year. The couple announced the pregnancy this January.

Hemsworth is an Australian actor best known for portraying Thor in the Marvel Studios films Thor (2011) and The Avengers (2012), and Curt Vaughan in The Cabin in the Woods (2012). Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as Thor in the upcoming film Thor 2 in 2013. He also starred as Kim Hyde in the Australian soap opera Home and Away and Snow White and the Huntsman.

Pataky played in ‘Fast Five’.
