Blue Ivy Is Beyonce & Jay-Z’s Newborn Daughter

Beyonce has finally become a mother. The 30-year-old singer gave birth to a baby girl  in New York on Saturday, January 7.

Beyonce  gave birth via C-section, “baby and mom are doing just fine”,  Good Morning America reported. The girl was named  Blue Ivy Carter.
According to  Good Morning America, the couple  chose “Ivy” because of the significance of the number “4″ or “IV”:  Beyonce and Jay-Z were born on September 4 and December 4, respectively, were married on April 4, 2008, and Beyonce’s latest album is entitled ’4′).
This is the couple’s first child.
 ”Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih”, Rihanna wrote on Twitter after the baby was born. “Congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z”,  Russell Simmons also wrote.
